Nepal Telecom, the state-backed telecom giant has launched its next-generation FTTH fiber internet service in the Malunga Bazar area in Syangja. With this, people in the Malunga Bazar and nearby areas will be able to receive high-speed fiber internet service at affordable costs.
The company says that the fiber internet service will benefit health centers, campuses, schools, and other government and private offices. Also called Fiber-to-the-Home, the FTTH technology brings high-quality internet service to the customers which is known for reliability, and consistent broadband performance.
Backed by FTTH technology, Nepal Telecom expanded its broadband internet with capacity from 25 Mbps to 1 Gbps speed, said Indal Yadav, the company’s Province Chief for provincial directorate, Pokhara. The company exploits the innovative XG-PON technology which has the capacity to deliver 10 Gbps downlink and 2.5 Gbps uplink speed.
Since converting from ADSL to fiber service, Ntc has seen its internet subscription getting huge popularity. Nepal Telecom brings fiber internet in Malunga, Syangja
Malunga Bazar is also a business center located on Siddharth Highway under Galyang Municipality Ward No.1. But such centers are seemingly out of reach from the high-speed broadband service of Nepal Telecom. Taking this into account, the company extended its popular fiber internet service to address this lack of modern internet service, said Rakesh Chaudhary, Nepal Telecom Office Chief, Pokhara.
Besides internet, Ntc fiber customers get IPTV (NT TV), PSTN (voice), and mobile data which is why the company calls it a “4-in-1”, shared Ram Raj Upadhyaya, Ntc chief of the Galyang office. All these services are available in subscription to NT Fiber service. He further added that under this subscription, customers can get unlimited internet and unlimited voice services too. NT Fiber also brings fiber internet, voice, and NT TV which goes by “Triple Play“.
The company said that it has extended its FTTH network over 13 kilometers from the Galyang office. This has allowed the company to launch landline service for the first time in Malunga, said ward chairman Mani Prasad Bashyal.
