Samsung Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus Overview

Design and Display

Both Samsung Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus feature glass back and aluminum frames. Both have different vertically aligned cameras on the back and there are minimal bezels to be found. The difference though is noticeable in their sizes. The base model Galaxy S25 measures 146.9 x 70.5 x 7.2mm while the Plus variant stretches 158.4 x 75.8 x 7.3mm. This also translates to their weight. The vanilla model weighs 162 grams. Its predecessor- Galaxy S24 weighed 167 grams. At the same time, the S50 Plus model is 190 grams. Both feature IP68 certification so that ensures high-level of protection from water and dust. Both front and back are get a protective layer of Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Likewise, the standard model Galaxy S25 is only 6.2-inch and has a 1080 x 2340-pixel resolution. The Plus model, on the other hand, boasts higher screen size of 6.7-inches and pixel count of 1440 x 3120 just like the Galaxy S24 Plus. Both the new phones’ display reaches up to 2600 nits of brightness so outdoor viewing shall be comfortable on these phones. To compare, the Galaxy S25 Ultra comes with a 6.69-inch AMOLED display.

Performance

Both Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ come with a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. It’s the best 3nm processor there is for Android smartphones at the moment and offers huge performance boost from the previous SoC. Resource-wise, Samsung Galaxy S25 comes with 128 GB and 256 GB storage options. But the S25 Plus model ships with 12/256 GB specs only. Both these variants along with the S25 Ultra ship feature 12 GB of RAM. For the price they come with, it’s only fair that these handsets get these resources on Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 in Nepal.

Noticeably, both phones get 7 years of Android OS upgrades from Samsung. Originally, it boots on One UI 7 which is based on Google’s Android 15.

Camera

These phones share similar camera specifications. There’s a 50 MP leader on the back, a 10 MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and a 12 MP ultra-wide camera. The phones come with a 12 MP selfie camera on the front.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus camera

Both phones can take footage at 4K at 60 frames per second or 8K at 30 frames per second. The cameras get more exciting and versatile with the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Night photos and video is bound to get much better with more advanced AI power on these phones.

Battery and Connectivity

The Galaxy S25+ features a Li-Ion 4900mAh battery with 45W wired, 15W wireless, and 4.5W reverse wireless charging. The vanilla model S25 features a 4000mAh battery. And while its wired charging capacity is 25W, wireless and reverse wireless capacities remain the same with the + model. The 5000mAh batteries are more popular. But what is worth taking note is that optimization plays a large role in batteries’ efficiency and overall health. So, that is likely the case with these two lineups.

Among other great news is that both the phones support up to WiFi 7 communication, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, etc. It comes with a USB Type-C 3.2 port, Samsung DeX, Circle to Search, etc. features too.

Our Verdict

Samsung Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus are premium phones with high-level specifications. They run on Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU and come with more AI enhancements. These phones are the true competitors with other flagship phones in the market such as iPhone 16 Pro Max, OnePlus 13, etc. So, there’s not much we need to talk about in terms of specs and features. Price is the factor though and if it’s not a one for you, you can buy these. But the similar price range and affordable EMI makes them a more affordable purchase.
