Nepal’s leading ISP WorldLink Communications has won the Asian Telecom Awards 2025 in two different categories. The company won the accolade as the ‘Broadband Telecom Company of the Year’ and ‘Customer Service Initiative of the Year’ at a program organized by Asian Telecom on February 20, 2025.

The award is a reflection of WorldLink’s contribution to Nepal’s digital space. The private ISP provides high-speed fiber internet service to both residential and business users. It’s the largest ISP in Nepal in terms of subscribers with 10 lakh fiber internet users. The organizer conferred the award to the company to mark its value and contribution to Nepal.

Asian Telecom Awards recognizes telecom companies in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. The organizer honored WorldLink at the Asia Telecom Awards for the company’s customer service and contribution to broadband services.

The award goes on to show WorldLink’s profound influence on the internet industry in Nepal. After its launch in 1995, the company has kept on growing to become a leading ISP with the largest subscriber base. WorldLink has also secured foreign direct investment (FDI) worth Rs 1.98 billion from British International Investment (BII) and Dolma Impact Fund II (DIF II).

WorldLink is currently focusing on expanding its services in remote and rural parts of Nepal. The company boasts 31.78% market share in the industry.

Nepalitelecom.com expresses its heartiest congratulations to WorldLink on winning the Asian Telecom Awards 2025. We wish that the ISP continues its contribution across Nepal which and transform people’s lives with reliable connectivity.

Being a technophile, I am particularly fascinated by the evolution of mobile networks in Nepal from legacy networks (2G, 3G) to 4G (with VoLTE, VoWiFi, eSIM) and the prospects of the upcoming 5G, and equally enthralled by the development of internet from the dial-up connection to the 2 Gbps XGS-PON fiber broadband technology and their transformative impact in the country.
