Motorola has announced a 0 percent EMI (Equated Monthly Installment) facility on its select phones in Nepal. The facility brings up its select latest phones with installment payment for Nepali buyers.
Motorola says that customers who want to buy its phones on EMI will only have to show a copy of their citizenship document. The payment includes Rs 1,667 (the lowest) in down payment per month with no interest.
With this service, the phone maker is making an effort to capture the mind and soul of Nepali smartphone buyers. Motorola relaunched in Nepal in August 2024 via CG Mobile, its local seller. But it has already launched a host of exciting smartphones at attractive prices.
The EMI facility will remove the burden on the customer to pay for the phone in one lump sum for Motorola smartphones. Therefore, it’s an aggressive development from the company to ease up customers’ purchase of its phones.

Our conclusion
EMI option is becoming mainstream in the Nepali smartphone market. Just before recent times, users would mostly have to pay a total sum while purchasing their brand-new phone. However, that has changed. It’s safe to say that Samsung Insta Finance brought that change in the smartphone EMI landscape.
Then, other phone makers followed suit. Now, realme has announced an EMI facility, while vivo has done something similar too. Motorola’s launch of the EMI service makes its phones more accessible to buyers who might have been held back by having to pay the full amount at once.
The company launches all types of phones from entry-level to upper midrange in Nepal. The EMI service makes them a much more attractive option to buy.
