Unauthorized use of Frequency Nepal

Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA) has published a notice appealing all to use frequency only after receiving permission from NTA. The regulator notifies to use allocated frequency range only for cellular/mobile, microwave, satellite services. It is crucial for all entities to strictly use only the allocated frequency range with permission for NTA to ensure regulatory compliance and prevent interference.

The notice was published on Ashad 2, 2082. The notice reads ” As per the Radio Frequency policy 2080, it is requested that the cellular/mobile, microwave and satellite frequencies that have been allocated are to be used within the permitted range and only after obtaining usage permission”.

So, NTA issued such notice to discourage and prevent such practice.

  • Using microwave frequencies for internet service
  • Foreign satellite-based internet service provider usage without permission
