Ncell CEO Kayumov resigns as CEO
As Kayumov leaves the position, the Ncell board of directors has appointed the company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Syed Md. Enamul Kabir as its acting CEO. He will now assume the office and lead the company as its executive head.
Since the development, Enamul’s name has already appeared on the Ncell website as its Acting CEO and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Seasoned in the telecommunications field, Jabbor Kayumov took office as CEO of Ncell on May 10, 2023. He had succeeded the outgoing former CEO, Andy Chong. On Kayumov’s watch, Ncell continued to be a top telco in the country and resumed infrastructure expansion and network improvement projects. Ncell launched Sadhain ON packs during his tenure, which have remained extremely popular among users. Further, Ncell VoWiFi and eSIM also came during his role as the CEO. However, the company hasn’t reversed its economic woes, which is a national situation for the industry.

Kayumov has been brave about speaking of Nepal’s 5G network struggles. He has mentioned that it is difficult to start 5G for the country’s telcos due to their financial struggles. The idea came amidst the talks that the next-gen telecom network takes immense resources for launch. The company, though, has maintained that it is ready and capable of launching 5G if it gets permission from NTA.
Kayumov has signed out of the Ncell CEO post with positives.
