Nepal Telecom (NTC) has resolved the billing system issue in postpaid and prepaid services on September 25, 2025. The instance might have further strengthened the case for a new billing system at the telecommunications company. The latest billing issue caused outgoing call barred and mobile data issue for users for hours.
The billing system issue was felt in the morning hours. As a result, users got an outgoing call barrier and other problems. This barred people from making calls on their NTC phones for a few hours, while the network was intermittently working in those hours. Check out: Ntc postpaid SIM card
But the company solved the issue at around 10:30 AM. It’s said that the Ntc billing issue lasted for around 8 hours. The problem rendered service one way for thousands of Ntc users. Users also complained that they didn’t see their package subscription, balance, while mobile data also didn’t work for many. Additionally, some received message that their subscription package had been exhausted.
Earlier in July, Ntc saw disruption in 4G and VoLTE services due to the old billing issue.
The issue came after the online charging system (OCS) ran into an issue, which is an integral part of the real-time charging system.
According to Ntc spokesman Rabindra Manandhar, the billing issue has been restored, and more work is being done to keep the service smooth. Although few customers are still complaining of balance issue and package show up, the calls and data issues have been already resolved.

What do we gather from the latest billing issue in Ntc?
The latest Ntc billing system issue further makes a case for upgradation and new technology implementation. Ntc postponed its earlier price bid opening for the new CRTB billing system due to the current political climate. But what can’t be ignored is that the company does need a modern and advanced billing system that is more capable and can withstand modern workload needs.
