CG Net Launching IPTV in Collaboration with Airtel

CG Net will soon launch its long-awaited IPTV in Nepal. The Chaudhary Group subsidiary has collaborated with Indian carrier Airtel to add their digital TV solution alongside its trend-setting fiber broadband plan.

The partnership will bring Bharti Telecom (Airtel)’s emerging IPTV/OTT services to Nepali households with CG Net subscriptions.

For CG Net, it will be a major boost to their ambitious fiber broadband venture. The ISP war is heating up, its IPTV solution will complete its broadband package and further its appeal.

Airtel’s IQ Video is an all-inclusive, pre-integrated platform that brings an innovative solution to watch video content on the go. Still, in its beta phase, it is an end-to-end managed digital TV platform that also comes at a cost-friendly price. It’s a feature-rich platform that includes features from app development and content hosting to monetization.

CG Net entered the ISP market in Nepal with a benchmark 120 Mbps fiber internet plan for Rs.999. This has triggered an internet speed war in the country. For its own, the ISP has also introduced its cost-effective 50 Mbps for plan Rs.649 targeting moderate internet users. Now, the ISP has almost reached blanket coverage in the Kathmandu valley with eyes on major cities soon. And adding the IPTV solution has just arrived at a befitting time.
