Daraz Collaborates With Visa; Offers Exciting Discount

Daraz has announced its partnership with Visa card and provide offers on the use of the payment card on its platform.

Daraz is one of the biggest online e-commerce platforms in Nepal. The brand always comes with exciting offers and discounts for their customers. We have to say the brand has played a significant role in making Nepalese people familiar with online shopping. In this time of the Covid-19 crisis, we must make a habit of doing online shopping. We must opt for digital payment methods.

The online e-commerce platform has collaborated with the global leaders in the field of digital payment technology, Visa, to make online payments more efficient in Nepal. Daraz’s digital payments system has grown widely to deliver clients a more prominent scope and ease-of-use when shopping online. This was possible after the inclusion of the brand in Alibaba’s foundation. Daraz had also partnered with the eSewa for digital payment. 

Lino Ahlering, MD, Daraz Nepal, stated, “A collective effort is necessary to drive the development of the online card payment ecosystem in Nepal, so we are thrilled to collaborate with Visa. And with this initial offer, we want to provide our customers with an added benefit for choosing the already more convenient and safe method of making online payments.”

To celebrate the collaboration between the two firms, they have come with an exciting offer and discount. Daraz and Visa are providing all the visa cardholders a massive 15% discount on the purchase of all the products till September  30, 2020. The customers will be able to use the discount only once.

It incorporates all the current Visa Credit, Debit, and Prepaid Cards issued in Nepal. Clients can select various products amongst  Daraz’s 450,000 products. More than 500 vendors sell their products on Daraz App. The customers will be able to get a maximum discount of Rs. 500 if they prepay via visa card while purchasing the product in Daraz. Also, have a look at the top digital payment service providers in Nepal. 

The Head of Merchant Sales and Acquiring and Cybersource, Visa, Shailesh Paul, said in a statement,” Digital payments and online shopping have become crucial in recent times, given the need for social distancing and less-touch. We are delighted to partner with a leading e-commerce player like Daraz, to provide their shoppers with the convenience of paying online through a safe, secure medium. Our relationship with Daraz in multiple South Asian markets is proof of how established players can and should come together to enable and enhance shopping experiences for consumers.”
