Honor 500 Pro has been launched in China alongside Honor 500. The phone succeeded last year’s Honor 400 Pro phone with some high-end specs that amplify the recent smartphone trends. It’s got an 8000mAh battery, 6000 nits brightness, WiFi 7 support, etc. Let’s get you more details on this.

Honor 500 Pro Specifications and Features

Honor 500 Pro has a horizontal camera bar on the back, which is a major deviation in design from Honor 400 Pro. It’s more like what we saw on the iPhone Air‘s rear side, but with more cameras. The phone’s got aluminum frames for an effective and sturdy body profile protected from water and dust with IP68/69 certified measures. The phone’s got lighter, weighing just 201 grams now.

The display stands 6.55 inches with an AMOLED panel. We saw this on Honor 400 Pro (China), but the global variant came with a 6.7-inch panel. That trend could repeat again. Anyway, the latest iteration boasts 6000 nits of peak brightness, 120Hz refresh rate, and a 1264 x 2736 pixel resolution. We saw the large nits specs in Huawei Mate 80 RS Ultimate Design as well.

Honor 500 Pro display

There are three cameras on the back: a 200 MP wide one with a 1/1.4″ sensor alongside OIS support, a 50 MP periscope telephoto, and a 12 MP ultrawide one. The front boasts a 50 MP camera. There’s not much difference in the optics from its predecessor. The cameras can record 4K videos too. You can only expect A-grade photos and videos from this flagship phone with AI capabilities for further functionalities and enhancements.

Honor has chosen Snapdragon 8 Elite for the phone’s processor, which is not the latest but a flagship one that still is a beast. It comes with eight cores with a maximum clock speed of 4.32 GHz. In terms of RAM/ROM, it features 12 GB of RAM for 256/512 GB ROM and 16 GB of RAM with 512 GB and 1 TB storage. But we need to see which variants launch in global and regional markets.

Battery, Connectivity, and Other Features

Honor 500 Pro’s arsenal is its 8000mAh battery and 80W wired fast-charging. It’s one of the largest battery packs we have seen on a smartphone to date, but we are also sure that it’s going to be a trend soon. For connectivity, this premium phone doesn’t leave any stone unturned. It supports 5G, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, infrared port, etc. The only thing is that its port is limited to USB Type-C 2,0, which could have been the more advanced variants.

Honor 500 Pro design

It’s safe to credit Honor 500 Pro for its pronounced features. Except for the chipset not being the latest greatest, it boasts some prominent specs. We are talking of 6000 nits of peak brightness, 8000mAh battery, etc. Apart from the camera and processor, these aspects also play a large role in how satisfying a phone can be for users on a daily basis. It’s also great to see Honor choosing a different path for its design, which now looks more aesthetically pleasing, personally speaking.

So, Honor 500 Pro is looking to be a great prospect for a flagship phone in 2026. You can check out other top flagship phones available right now.
