Apple launches the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max in Nepal together with iPhone 13, and iPhone 13 Mini. Accordingly, the phones are now available for sale in Nepal. So, here we will discuss the specs, availability, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max price in Nepal.
iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are the successors of last year’s iPhone 12 Pro. Both smartphones arrive with noticeable upgrades and tweaks compared to their predecessors. Further, the smartphone boasts a 120Hz Display, Upgraded Cameras, the fastest processor, bigger battery capacity, and more.
Starting off with the design, iPhone 13 Pro And Pro Max are identical to last year’s iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max. It also has a sleek and flat-edged design. The smartphones arrive with a 20% narrower notch than their predecessors. Likewise, it has a Ceramic Shield front Textured matte glass back, and stainless steel design. It has the same notch on the top which is now 20% smaller than the previous generation iPhones. The new iPhone 13 Pro models are slightly heavier than last year’s iPhone 12 Pro models. iPhone 13 Pro has 46.7 x 71.5 x 7.65 mm (5.78 x 2.81 x 0.30 in) dimensions and weighs only 204 gm. The iPhone 13 Pro Max has 160.8 x 78.1 x 7.65 mm (6.33 x 3.07 x 0.30 in) dimensions and weight of 240 gm.
Both iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max feature a Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion. iPhone 13 Pro flaunts a 6.1‑inch (diagonal) all‑screen OLED display along with a 2532‑by‑1170-pixel resolution at 460 PPI and the iPhone 13 Pro Max boasts a large 6.7‑inch (diagonal) all‑screen OLED display with 2778‑by‑1284-pixel resolution at 458 PPI. Apple has finally introduced a 120Hz ProMotion display that adjusts between 10Hz and 120Hz. It is definitely one of the highlights of the smartphone. The common features that both of these models share are HDR display, True Tone, Wide color (P3), Haptic Touch, 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio (typical), 1000 nits max brightness (typical),1200 nits max brightness (HDR), Fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating, and many more.
Moving on to the camera department, both iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Max sports the same diagonally placed triple rear camera system. It consists of a 12 MP main camera with f/1.5 aperture, a 12 MP ultra-wide camera with f/1.8 aperture and 120° field of view, and a 12 MP telephoto camera with f/2.8 aperture. Other features include 3x optical zoom in, 2x optical zoom out; 6x optical zoom range, Digital zoom up to 15x, Night mode, Deep Fusion, Smart HDR 4, and many more.
Other camera features include Photographic Styles, Night mode portraits, Night mode in telephoto lens, Cinematic mode, and ProRes videos. The front camera also comes with FaceID support, Smart HDR 4, Deep Fusion, Night Mode, Cinematic Mode, and Night Mode Selfies. There is also Portrait Lighting with six effects: Natural, Studio, Contour, Stage, Stage Mono, and High‑Key Mono. Talking about videography, both iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max are capable of recording up to 4K at 60 fps. In ProRes mode, they both can shoot up to 4K at 30 fps but you are limited to 1080p at 30fps in the base 128GB storage variant. On the front camera, they can shoot up to 4K at 60 fps and 1080p at 120 fps.
We all know that Apple smartphones are always ahead of their contemporaries in terms of performance. So, it’s a no-brainer that the brand has arrived with the upgraded chipset for the iPhone 13 Pro lineup, the same with every new generation of iPhones. Apple did not hesitate to announce they are still leaders in the performance department. The iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max rock a new A15 Bionic chip which is the world’s fastest smartphone chip for now. Further, the chip has a new 6‑core CPU with 2 high-performance cores and 4 high-efficiency cores. Apple also has its own GPU with 5 cores and 16 cores of Neural Engine.
iPhone 13 has put more focus on Machine Learning. While the 16-core Neural Engine can perform 15.8 trillion operations per second. As we all know, Apple never unveils its RAM capacity so we just talk about storage capacity. In terms of memory configurations, both iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are available in four storage variants: 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. On the software front, both smartphones run on iOS 15 which was launched back in Apple Spring Event 2021.
Talking about the battery prowess of the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max, both smartphones feature a built-in rechargeable lithium‑ion battery. Both smartphones arrive with better battery life compared to their predecessors. iPhone 13 Pro has 1.5 hours more battery capacity in comparison with the iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max offers 2.5 hours of extra battery back compared to the iPhone 12 Pro Max. With a 20W fast charging adaptor, it can be charged up to 50% within 30 minutes of charging.
Apple promises up to 22 hours of video playback (up to 20 hours of streaming) and up to 75 hours of audio playback on the iPhone 13 Pro. While the iPhone 13 Pro Max offers up to 28 hours of video playback, up to 25 hours of streamed video playback, and up to 95 hours of audio playback. There is also Wired charging of 20W which comes with the support of 15W MagSafe wireless charging and Qi wireless charging up to 7.5W. Additionally, Apple claims that it charges Up to 50% in around 30 minutes. Face ID, Barometer, Three‑axis gyro, Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, and Ambient light sensor are the sensors available on iPhone 13.
Talking about the connectivity, it has Dual SIM (nano‑SIM and eSIM), 5G (sub‑6 GHz and mmWave), Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax) with 2×2 MIMO, Gigabit LTE with 4×4 MIMO and LAA, Bluetooth 5.0 wireless, Ultra-Wideband chip for spatial awareness, NFC with reader mode, and Express Cards with a power reserve, GPS with GLONASS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and Beidou, etc. Under IEC standard 60529, iPhone 13 has IP68 ratings because of which the iPhone will survive a maximum depth of 6 meters up to 30 minutes in water. As iPhone has a full-screen display, Face Unlock is the only option for biometrics. It also has a TrueDepth camera for FaceID facial recognition.
