iPhone 17 Specifications and features

Apple iPhone 17 feels similar in outer design. It’s got a vertical camera bar on the back and rounded corners. But it’s got weightier at 177 grams. And just like the iPhone 16, its frames are also made of aluminum. The front glass gets a protection layer of Ceramic Shield 2. The phone’s got IP68 certification, which protects it from minor water and dust scenarios.

What’s better this year is the display. The iPhone 17 flaunts a larger, 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED screen with 3000 nits of peak brightness, up from 2000 nits on its predecessor. Likewise, the phone now sports a 120Hz refresh rate, which can scale down to 1Hz while the phone is idle. It’s a remarkable improvement from the criminally low 60Hz screen of last year.
