Realme has launched its Realme 8 series in India via an online event. Realme 8 series includes Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro. Here, we will be having a look at the lower variant Realme 8. The smartphone arrives with some attractive and impressive specs and features. So, now without any delay let’s know more in detail about the specs, availability, and Realme 8 price in Nepal below.
Realme 8 is the successor to the Realme 7 that was launched a year back in Nepal. The device boasts a Super AMOLED FHD+ display, quad cameras, Mediatek Helio G95, 5000mAh battery, and more.
Talking about the design of the smartphone, Realme introduces the new futuristic Infinite Bold Design. It has a glass front, plastic frame and a plastic back. There’s also a huge “Dare to Leap” branding to the extreme right of the rear panel. The device is super-thin 7.99mm and only weighs 177gm that is comfortable to hold. The display also has a punch-hole cutout that houses the front camera.
Realme 8 flaunts a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display panel along with a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and 60Hz refresh rate. It also comes with a 180Hz touch sampling rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, 90.8% screen to body ratio, 409 PPI and a 1000 nits of peak brightness level. The smartphone features an always on display. For biometric security, the phone comes with the ultra-fast in-display fingerprint scanner.
Turning our attention to the optical department of the phone, Realme 8 sports a quad rear camera setup in a rectangular camera module. It includes a 64 MP primary camera with f/1.79 aperture along with 6P lens, an 8 MP ultra wide-angle camera lens along with f/2.25 aperture & Field Of View 119°, a 2 MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2 MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the smartphone houses a 16 MP Sony IMX471 in-display Selfie camera along with f/2.45 aperture to snap beautiful selfies.
It arrives with impressive and attractive camera features such as Starry Mode, Tilt-shift, Neon Portrait, Dynamic Bokeh, AI Colour Portrait, Super Nightscape, Panoramic View, Expert, Timelapse, Portrait Mode, HDR, Ultra Wide, Ultra Macro, AI Scene Recognition, AI Beauty, Filter, Chroma Boost, Bokeh Effect Control,etc. Now, as for the videography of the device it is capable of recording videos up to [email protected], [email protected]/60/120fps, gyro-EIS. The front camera records videos up to [email protected]/120fps.
Powering the phone is the Mediatek Helio G95 Gaming Processor that was also aboard its predecessor. It is an octa-core chipset based on 12 nm processing that clocks up to 2.05GHz high-frequency and comes with a powerful ARM G76 GPU. Realme 8 is coupled with 4GB/6GB/8GB of RAM along with internal storage of 128GB UFS 2.1. You also get a dedicated microsd card slot to expand your memory.
On the software front, Realme 8 runs on Realme UI 2.0 Based on Android 11. The phone also comes with Copper Liquid Cooling technology. It also has Game Space & Game Assistant that helps to improve our gaming experience.
Talking about the battery prowess of the smartphone, Realme 8 comes backed up by the monstrous 5,000mAh non-removable battery. It also comes with the support for 30W Dart fast Charge and reverse charging. It takes only 65 minutes to charge the phone battery up to 100%. Realme claims that the battery has 40 days standby, sustains up to 43 hours of calling, 23 hours of video streaming, and 10 hours of gaming.
Talking about the connectivity options of the Realme 8, it features 4G LTE, Dual SIM slot,Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, USB Type-C 2.0, USB On-The-Go, FM radio and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Realme 8 is launched at the starting price of INR. 14,999 for the 4GB/128GB variant in India. The smartphone is available for purchase in India. It is available in two different colour variants Cyber Silver, and Cyber Black. The smartphone is expected to launch in Nepal at the price of Rs. 28,999 for the base variant. Realme 8 is launching very soon in Nepal. The smartphone will surely take the Nepalese mid-range smartphone market by storm. The phone will get tough competition from phones like Redmi Note 10, Samsung A32 4G, Poco X3, etc.
