Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 15 Pro in China. The new Redmi Note 15 lineup succeeds the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G from 2024 and features a larger display, a bigger battery, and a new processor. The phone looks set to disrupt the budget smartphone market when it launches in Nepal. Find all the details in this post.
Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G Overview
Design and Display
Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G has a width of 78.1mm and is slimmer at just 7.8 mm. The back camera bar is similar to that in the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G variant. It’s a squircle setup and houses two cameras and an LED flash. Redmi text is immortalized at the bottom. But compared to last year’s RN 14 Pro, it’s got a plain finish on the rear.

The display has gone larger at a 6.83-inch AMOLED “Super Sunlight” screen. It’s got the standard 120Hz refresh rate and 3200 nits of peak brightness. The glass is protected by Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass.
Camera and Photography
The camera setup consists of a 50 MP Sony LYT-600 main camera, an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide camera, and a 2 MP macro camera resting on the back panel, while a 20 MP selfie camera rests on the front. Like on the Pro Plus variant, Xiaomi has skipped the 200 MP primary camera this year. The phone lets you take up to 4K videos at 24/30 fps. Likewise, photography is powered by AI, which helps you optimize your photos according to the environment.

Performance and Storage
The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G phone is powered by Mediatek Dimensity 7400 Ultra, a new-generation chipset from its predecessor. It’s a 4nm process-built chipset with an octa-core setup and has faster primary cores at 2.5 GHz clock speed, and the other four running at 2.0 GHz. In terms of memory, it ships in China with 8/256GB, 12/256 GB, and 12/512 GB specifications. The phone runs on HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15.

Battery and Charging
The phone includes a 7,000mAh battery, a major improvement this year from the 5,110mAh one of RN 14 Pro. It also comes with a 45W fast-charging adapter to save time and offer convenience. The phone has a 22.5W reverse charging capacity as well. Not all flagship phones don’t come with such a large battery. Therefore, the battery specs on this phone are one of Xiaomi’s key selling points along with others.
Connectivity and Other Features
Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G supports WiFi 6, 5G SA and NSA, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.4, etc. It also comes with NFC, infrared port, and common Android sensors. Security is handled by an in-display fingerprint sensor. But unlike the Pro Plus variant, there’s no Satellite Messaging variant for the Pro model.
