Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Overview

The smartphone is the successor to the Galaxy A52s which was launched last year in Nepal. Samsung A33 5G and Galaxy A73 5G were also launched alongside the device.

Design/Display

Starting off with the design of the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G, the smartphone measures 74.8 x 159.6 x 8.1 mm and weighs only 189 gm. It has the same camera island design as its predecessor. The phone also comes with IP67 dust & water-resistant rating. It has a center punch-hole cutout at the front that houses the selfie camera. The smartphone comes in various color options such as Black, White, Blue, and Peach.

The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G flaunts an enormous 6.5 inches  Full-HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display panel along with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It also supports a higher 120Hz refresh rate, an aspect ratio of 20:9, HDR10+, 800 nits brightness (HBM), and 405 PPI density. For biometrics, it features an under-display, optical fingerprint sensor, and AI Face Unlock.

Camera  

Turning our attention to the optical features of the smartphone, the phone arrives with a quad-camera setup at the rear. The device consists of a 64 MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 12 MP Ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture & 123° Field Of View, a 5 MP macro lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 5 MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. While on the front, the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G houses a 32 MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture for selfies and videos. 

Coming to the videography aspect of the smartphone, the rear cameras are capable of recording videos up to 4K@30fps, and 1080p@30/60fps. The front camera records videos up to 4K@30fps, and 1080p@30fps.

Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1280 Chipset. It is an octa-core processor that is equipped with an octa-core CPU with a maximum clock speed of up to 2.4 GHz. As for graphics, it has a Mali-G68 GPU.  

In terms of the memory configuration, the device is attached with 6/8GB of RAM and 128/256GB internal storage options onboard. You also get a memory expansion option of up to 1TB via an external microSD card. On the software front, the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G runs on One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 OS.
