Ncell, the leading private telecom operator in Nepal has launched a new voice pack to its prepaid customers, called monthly voice pack. As the name suggests, it is a voice pack for a month period and is the latest addition to its current suit of voice packs that allows customer avail services at more affordable rates. The monthly voice pack of Rs 200 (with taxes) provides 400 minutes of on net talk time. On net talk time means the Ncell customers can only use the pack to call other Ncell numbers. The call rate comes at 50 paisa per minute including tax.
The monthly voice pack is valid from August 1, 2016 ( Monday) and is a permanent product pack. To subscribe the pack, customers need to dial *17118# and select option 5. In other methods, customers can dial 17118 IVR number and press 5 after the pickup. Customers can even subscribe the monthly pack by sending a sms 200 to 17118.
Customers can take as many voice packs as they like and the latest pack will be valid for 30 days. After the completion of the pack, the normal charge of Rs 2.50 per minute will come into effect for making calls to Ncell number. Recently, the no of such voice, data packs has been increased in Ncell, with the purpose to provide services at affordable rates and make maximum utilization of their network, increasing their revenue. Such data and voice packs are also available now in day and night period. It was Nepal Telecom who introduced the unlimited night data package which was very popular and is still the demand of many low paying customers like students. But Nepal Telecom is yet to launch such voice packs and data packs in day and night periods. As the competition is very fierce between them, we can expect Nepal Telecom to launch more affordable data and voice packages any time soon.
