Ncell, the private telco in Nepal is launching 4G in Pokhara city from July 1. Earlier, the mobile operator launched 4G in Kathmandu on June 1. As Pokhara is one of the major popular tourist destination, it is also known as the bigger market for telecom service. Ntc also brought 4G to Pokhara firstly. But their expansion news have not yet surfaced.
At first launch, Ncell 4G is made available to other areas like Nagarkot, Banepa, Dhulikhel. Along with Ncell 4G Pokhara, it will come to Damauli as well, most probably on the same day.
Ncell during its launch claims to plan for 40 more cities to reach up to 15 percent 4G customers within 2017.

As per their plan, they are now making their network ready for 4G upgrade in other major cities. After the first phase of operation including Ncell 4G in Pokhara, other cities to include for Ncell 4G in:

- Dharan
- Damak
- Birtamod
- Birgunj
- Butwal
- Bhairahwa
- Bharatpur
- Hetauda
- Nepalgunj
- Dhangadi
As Ncell pays some more tax as CGT, they are now advertising 4G to more people and places along with the 4G network expansion.
