Xiaomi has released a new mid ranger smartphone called Mi 5X, with dual rear camera. The Xiaomi Mi5X has the same dual rear as that of the high end Mi6 smartphone. Alongside the phone runs on Xiaomi’s latest android skin, MIUI 9. It is known to be China only phone whereas the MIUI 9 follows the usual path from Chinese Alpha, beta, stable to Global stable to be available for all Xiaomi phone ranges.
Xiaomi Mi5X is a 5.5 inch FHD display phone and powered by Octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor. The phone has got 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB storage with no external SD slot. The rounded edges with antenna lines in it, makes quite comfy to hold in hand. Anti-finger print coating makes the phone a scratch or finger print resistant.
The china only phone is price at RMB 1,499 ( Indian Rupee 14,999), which translates to 23,000 Nepali rupees. But as always, the price will be more here if it will be available here.
Xiaomi has also revealed their latest UI, over latest Android 7 (Nougat) alongside the Mi5X phone. The MIUI 9 is lightning fast due to faster start up, dynamic resource allocation, image search, smart assistant and smart app launcher. The latest iteration of MIUI is known to be fast in startup and prioritize resources for in use applications. The MIUI 9 will also include features like Split screen multitasking and picture in picture mode, in upcoming updates.
Xiaomi has also released a speaker or friendly helper called Mi AI speaker at RMB 300. The smart speaker has 360 degree audio sensing and is known to challenge the likes of Amazon Echo and Google Home. The speaker has the ability to stream music, audio books, children stories, and live radio, with high audio quality.
