Vivo launches V17 Pro phone in Nepal on October 17, 2019, Thursday. Vivo organized an event in the Capital to announce the launch and present it to the media. The Vivo V17 Pro, the successor to V15 Pro is the first phone with a dual pop up selfie camera. Other features of the phone include Quad rear camera, Full-screen display, and 8 GB RAM. Vivo, the Chinese phone company which brought the first pop up selfie camera and in-display fingerprint sensor, has brought the dual pop-up Selfie camera for better, wider Selfie. This is the unique selling point of the Vivo V17 Pro phone.

Vivo V17 Pro has a 6.44 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400×1080 Pixel and a tall aspect ratio of 20:9. The screen is a full view display with a screen to body ratio of 91.65 percent. The back of the phone is protected by Gorilla Glass 6. Regarding security, the phone comes with an in-display fingerprint with faster unlock.
The screen also filters out 61 % blue light to lessen eye strain for longer viewing. The rounded corner and the slim bezels make the device look attractive and provide a nice immersive experience.
The phone is powered by Snapdragon 675 processor, which was also there in its predecessor V15 Pro. Anyone would expect an upgrade in the processor but the same Soc also Powers smartphones like Redmi Note 7 Pro, Samsung A70 and Samsung Galaxy M40.
The phone has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The phone lacks the micro SD card slot, so you cannot add up more storage further than the internal one.
Vivo V17 Pro has a quad rear camera with a primary sensor of 48 MP, Sony IMX582 sensor. As the primary lens has an aperture of f/1.8, it can capture nice photos even in average light situations. Other sensors in the rear camera are 13 MP telephoto lens, 8 MP wide-angle and 2 MP depth sensor. The 120-degree wide-angle lens enables more room and more creativity for your photography composition.
On the front of the phone lies the dual pop-up selfie camera of 32 MP main sensor + 8 MP ultra-wide sensor. The front camera can capture at an angle of 105 degrees, which can fit in more person for the group selfies and better view of landscapes with yourself. There is also a flash in the middle of the two sensors in the front camera.
Some of the exciting features of the phone camera are Super Night Mode, AI image recognition, Super Macro, 2X optical zoom and 10x digital Zoom. The Super Macro mode enables you to capture little objects as close as 2.5 cm.
The phone runs on Funtouch OS 9.1which is based on Android 9. The OS also includes a Jovi AI Engine that manages resources efficiently for multi-tasking operations.
Regarding the battery capacity, the phone includes a 4100 mAH battery, having a dual-engine fast charging of 18 W with a Type C cable.
On purchase of the phone, you get a nice hi-fi earphone XE710 made by Vivo itself, that is available within the box.

Vivo V17 Pro phone was already available in the market but in limited quantity before. Now, with the launch, we can expect the phone to be available across all retail outlets.
The price of the Vivo V17 Pro phone in Nepal comes at Rs 52,490.
Regarding the above price of Vivo V17 Pro in Nepal, we think its a little let down side to have the mid-ranger processor whereas other vendors are offering high end processor on that price point.
If you count dual pop-up selfie camera and the quad rear camera for a phone, then you can opt in to buy this phone. But for a phone with a price above 50 k, you would definitely want to have a higher-end processor, which you can find in Redmi K20 Pro, but with a triple rear camera. Other Quad rear camera phones available in the market are Oppo Reno2 F, Huawei Nova 5T which you can check your self for the option.
