Ntc RBB free SIM card

Nepal Telecom and Rastriya Banijye Bank have collaborated to provide free SIM cards. Ntc and RBB have agreed upon to distribute free SIM to each of the newly opened bank account holders.

On Mangsir 12, 2076, both the organizations have signed a deal with the signature of Ntc MD Mr. Dilli Ram Adhikari and RBB’s CEO Kiran Kumar Shrestha.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Adhikari expressed that the collaboration will help to expand their business for both the entities. The agreement between Nation’s largest telco and the financial institution with widest network would definitely create a good environment for the digital economy and expand the financial reach to all people.

We should not forget that Ntc has around 2 crore customers and RBB bank has around 30 lakhs users. Mr. Shrestha of RBB opined that the accord between two entities will benefit customers of both organizations. He also believed both organizations can achieve a significant step ahead for their business, with the deal.

In another collaboration, Ntc and RBB have already agreed to create a new company for the mobile money business. As known, the new entity partially owned by both entities is waiting for the license from Nepal Rastra Bank. Once it gets the license to operate a digital payment service, it is known to start the “Mobile money” service.

Mobile money service allows you to transfer money from your mobile account which is quite different from the current modality of having a wallet account or the direct money transfer from the bank. With mobile money, you can do the payment for all sorts of activities using your own mobile.

Having a different modality in the payment service can revolutionize the way we do payment here in Nepal. This is indeed a one step ahead to prepare a cashless society here in Nepal.
