Samsung Galaxy M21 launches in Nepal | Find price and specs

Samsung is significantly adding huge numbers of phones in its M and A series. To continue this trend, Samsung has recently launched the Galaxy M21 in Nepal. We can see lots of improvement in M21 while comparing the phone with its predecessor Galaxy M20 which was launched about a year ago. After taking a certain time, Samsung has finally launched the M21 with a better chipset, processor, camera, and many other features.

Samsung has launched M21 on the same day with Galaxy M31. We can find unnoticeable upgrades and downgrades on M21 compared to M31. Let’s dive into the detailed specification of M21.

Galaxy M21 Overview

Galaxy M21 is a mid-range smartphone that is primarily focused on battery and camera. This phone runs on mediocre chipset which is not expected to provide the best user experience in terms of performance. The beautiful display with SAMOLED panel is another selling point of this phone.

Design and Display

The phone has a super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a waterdrop notch. The screen size is 6.4 inches which the resolution of 1080×2340. You don’t need to worry about the phone as you got the corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The phone screen may not be crystal clear while watching videos outdoor but perfect for indoor use as it contains 420 nits maximum brightness.

For the physical overview, we can find 2 SIM slots and one micro SD card tray on the left. Similarly, the power button and volume rocker on the right, primary, 3.5 mm headphone jack, primary microphone, USB C port, and speaker grills on the bottom. The noise cancellation mic is on the top. The fingerprint sensor is available in the back.  The phone is a bit lighter than M31 but heavier than M20. The handset weighs 188 g with similar dimensions of M31 with 159×75.1×8.9 mm. M21 is made of glass front and plastic back and frames like M31 and M20. 

Software and performance 

Samsung has not upgraded the operating system, chipset, CPU, and GPU as well. It means we can find the same software of M31 in M21. The phone runs with Android 10, one UI 2 with the Exynos 9611(10nm) chipset. It is powered by octa-core(4×2.3 GHz cortex A-73 and 4×1.7GHz). With mali G72 MP3., users may not find any differences in playing games in M31 and M21. M21 provides two variants in memory, unlike the M31 which is 64 GB/4GB, 128GB/6GB with UFS2.1. The storage of the phone can be expandable by using a micro SD card up to 512 GB.

Talking about the connectivity, we can find Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot along with Bluetooth 5.0, A2DP, LE.

Camera

For the camera, Samsung has compromised in this M-series phone. The earlier one is a quad-camera having 64 MP pixel main camera, 8 MP ultrawide, 5 MP depth, and micro shooter. This phone has a triple camera of only 48 MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture, 8 MP ultrawide with f/2.2 aperture, and 5 MP depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The front camera has decreased by 12 MP and for video at  [email protected] is unavailable in M21 like in m31. We can click the selfie with 20 MP having f/2.0 aperture and shoot video up to [email protected]

4G support

Battery

Samsung has come with the same battery life and charging capacity as in M31. The phone has a 6000 mAh battery which may last for more than a day with a single charge. You may not worry about the charge while playing the games, listening to music, and watching videos. The phone has 15W fast charging supports.

Galaxy M21 phone comes in two variants; 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB. The price of Galaxy M21 in Nepal is set at NRs 22,999 for  64GB/4GB and at NRs 27,499 for 128GB/6GB.
