Worldlink Provides Free WiFi Service at Shey-Phoksundo Lake Area

Worldlink Free Wifi Internet Shey phoksundo Lake

WorldLink Communications Ltd., Nepal’s leading Internet service provider offers the Free WiFi Service in the Shey-Phoksundo Lake area. The ISP has connected the area with free internet. The free WiFi service at Shey Phoksundo Lake started on 21st March 2021. The company also keeps on coming with new packages and offers, among which Worldlink Tahalka offer is the recent one for its home users with limited usage.

Shey Phoksundo Lake is at an elevation of 3,611.5 m above sea level in the Dolpa District, Karnali region. It is one of the major tourist destinations in Nepal. Filled with fresh and clean Himalayan water, the lake is the deepest and largest lake in Nepal.

Free Wifi at Shey Phoksundo Inauguration

The Free WiFi Service was Inaugurated by the Honorable Chief Minister of Karnali Province Mr. Mahendra Bahadur Shahi and Chairman/Managing Director of WorldLink, Mr. Dileep Agrawal. The other guests present at the inauguration ceremony were Mr. Manoj Agrawal, Director of WorldLink Communications, Mr. Keshav Nepal, Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Nima Lama, Ward Chief of Shey Phoksundo Village Municipality, Ward No. 8, and Mr. Chandra Bahadur Gharti, Representative of Shey Phoksundo National Park. The company had also recently partnered with KBCF for Digital Karnali.

Statement

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Chairman and Managing Director of WorldLink Communications Ltd., Mr. Dileep Agrawal, stated that, “Information technology is very important for the tourists visiting the major tourist destinations of Nepal. There is no substitute for fiber for quality service. By using the internet, we can change our lives. Information technology can be a means of acquiring knowledge for local people and students, where there is a lack of roads and hospitals, there can be a solution to the Internet problem.”

He further adds,” WorldLink has installed towers in 11 different locations to bring internet connection to Phoksundo. And now we are planning for fiber connection.”

The ISP intends to further promote the beautiful touristic side of the area that awaits more recognition by the whole world. As per Worldlink’s technician Umakant Chhetri, a user can enjoy free internet of up to 500MB in a single day. This initiation from the company will surely help in the growth of tourism in the place. The visitors will find it easy to stay connected and it would be a source of entertainment for them as well.
