Already for several years, Vianet has been providing internet service for Aloft Kathmandu, which is the offspring of the US-based hotel chain Marriott International. But, the request was much higher, and Aloft Kathmandu’s client demanded up to 1 GB dedicated bandwidth service. Vianet acceded to it and its support team took up the task. They used a direct switch along with a 10 G port switch for the continuous delivery of such high-speed broadband. More specifically the switch was Juniper-EX2300-24T.
The Vianet support team succeeded with the 1 GB testing phase on May 24th, 2021. Vianet says Aloft Kathmandu tried connection testing at other leading hotels in Kathmandu with other service providers.
After 3 months of testing, the filmmaking team demanded a link on August 20th, 2021, and used it till October 3rd, 2021.
