The Ministry of Communications, Information, and Technology (MoCIT) has called for applications for the post of two board members at NTA.
The Ministry released a notice on Thursday, May 19th, calling for interested candidates to submit their applications for the abovementioned posts.
The two positions will be vacant this month. NTA’s board members Chudamani Chaulagain and Teknath Acharya will see their tenure end on Jeth 18. The regulator wants to complete the board’s members on time.
The notice today follows the decision by the recommendation committee. Earlier, the meeting of the Council of Ministers was held on March 28th. Following the meeting, the MoC formed the committee under the coordination of Vaikuntha Aryal, the secretary of MoCIT.
The very committee has now sought the appointment of members from the field of technician and accounting, and auditing. Also read: NTA to teach ICT Skills to Senior Citizens
Requirements to become the board members at NTA
- To be eligible for the posts, candidates must be at least 30 at the time of submitting the application and not exceeding 65 years old.
- Similarly, the applicants shall send their candidacy within 21 days from the date of the vacancy announcement.
- The candidates must also clearly state for which area they are applying at the NTA board.
- For qualification, candidates must have passed bachelor’s and have an experience of 7 years at work
- Likewise, the same candidate can not apply for both posts in both areas.
- The authority will select the candidates based on their qualifications, presentations, work plan and interview.
- Work experience and qualifications of the candidates must have Notary Public certification.
- NTA says it won’t accept applications that arrive after the deadline and without complete testomonials.
