Likewise, Namaste Pay users will also benefit from attractive offers on data and voice packs in a near future.

Nepal Digital Payments Company Ltd. (NDPC) is the company behind Namaste Pay, a new mobile wallet service in Nepal. It is the project of the country’s largest telecom operators Nepal Telecom (NTC) and Rashtriya Banijya Bank (RBB). Meanwhile, Namaste Pay though a fresh startup, remains the company with the largest paid-up capital with 400 million paid-up capital.

Namaste Pay is launched to provide unique and innovative services which are not found yet on other service providers. Users of this digital wallet can access bank and financial services via USSD without requiring a smartphone and an internet. The goal of NDPC is to make digital payment services more accessible in remote regions in Nepal. The company expects to promote financial inclusion in the country.

An experienced tech writer covering news mostly on telecommunication, internet, latest tech & trends, and Gadgets. Being a technophile, I am particularly fascinated by the evolution of mobile networks in Nepal from legacy networks (2G, 3G) to 4G (with VoLTE, VoWiFi, eSIM) and the prospects of the upcoming 5G, and equally enthralled by the development of internet from the dial-up connection to the 2 Gbps XGS-PON fiber broadband technology and their transformative impact in the country.
