Apple has finally released its latest update for its phones and tablets, iOS 16. The update is in the Beta phase but brings in several new features. The American tech giant has mostly provided new lock screen-oriented features. Also, this new OS is much about the restructuring of system features than a complete overhaul of the UI. Lockscreen Customizations
Foremost, let’s look at the most talked-about feature of iOS 16, the lock screen customization. iOS 16 has enabled new lock screen widgets which is customizable. Now, it lets you change the color of the font, and clock and also lets us customize the widgets on the lock screen. There is also a work focus feature, weather lock screen, and several others. Now the notifications have been revamped. So, the new notifications pop up from the bottom for better accessibility.
One Place for Family Photos with iCloud Shared Photo Library
Apple has also mentioned about iCloud Shared Photo Library which will seamlessly share photos with up to six users. So, this enables the user to share clicked pictures directly from the camera using a new toggle. Also, one can send the existing library pictures too. Further, Apple has provided the power to every group member to edit, delete, add, and favorite their shared contents. Plus, it also appears in featured photos and memories too.
Message Update
With iOS 16, Apple is also introducing a new feature to recover recently deleted messages, edit recently sent messages, and mark conversations unread. Also, Shareplay is coming on the messaging app. That feature is already available on Facetime calls which let users play the same content like movies, series, etc on both ends. So, users will be able to play music, and watch content while chatting on messaging app.
Apple Pay Later
The company has also unveiled the Apple Pay Later feature that grants loans to make purchases. It will be built inside the Apple Wallet later. In this scheme, the user can pay the loan over a period of four months by splitting monthly fees. There is a zero percent interest rate and fees charged. It makes it easy to view, track, and repay Apple Pay Later payments within Wallet.

Other Features
iOS 16 also brought various other features such as CarPlay, Family Sharing, Haptic Feedback on Keyboard, Dictation, etc. Further, it is also coming with an enhanced dashboard in the Game Centre. With personalized spatial audio, users can use the TrueDepth camera of an iPhone to create a personal profile. There is also an improvement in health and fitness apps.
