Nepal Telecom (NTC) has said that its FTTH and Base Transceiver Station (BTS) have been affected by the ongoing cable management works in Pokhara.
At the moment, Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) is laying wires underground. During the same infrastructure project in the Lakeside area, the company’s FTTH and BTS networks were affected. As a result, mobile network and NT fiber internet services suffered in the area.
The company has shared information about the issue on social media. It says that a team of technicians has been mobilized in the area to address the service disruption, and restoration work is ongoing. It adds that it will take some time for service resumption.
The company has apologized for the inconvenience to the customer and requested patience and support.
But I must say that the mobile network is working fine on my phone. So, the network outage could be occuring in particular areas only. Anyway, you can share if you are experiencing any service disruption. The service shall resume in a few hours at the most.
