Subisu pens historic deal with APAC IPv6 Council for next-gen internet tech

Nepal’s leading internet service provider (ISP), Subisu Limited, and the Asia Pacific IPv6 advocacy body, the APAC IPv6 Council, have reached an agreement to accelerate IPv6 adoption across Nepal. The two entities have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at a recent event on April 9, 2029. The historic moment took place on the first day of the 4th APAC IPv6 Council Meet at Hotel Radisson, Kathmandu.

The agreement papers were signed by Mr. Binay Mohan Saud, CEO of Subisu, and Prof. Emeritus Dr. Sureswaran Ramadass, Chairman of APAC IPv6 Council, Malaysia.

The agreement establishes a framework for joint cooperation between the two. In this journey together, the collaboration will cover technical knowledge exchange, joint publications, expert sharing, and mutual promotional support. It enables Subiu to gain an opportunity as an organizational member of the APAC IPv6 Council, giving the Nepali tech landscape a meaningful and relevant presence on a regional and global platform.

“Being able to host an international technology summit of this stature and formalize a partnership with the APAC IPv6 Council is a matter of immense pride for us. This agreement will position Nepal at the heart of Asia-Pacific’s digital infrastructure dialogue,” Binay Mohan Saud, CEO, Subisu Limited.

What is APAC IPv6 Council?

The APAC IPv6 Council is the Asia-Pacific chapter of the IPv6 Forum. It’s dedicated to advancing the deployment and adoption of IPv6 across the region with both individual and corporate members. The Council provides technical leadership and innovative thinking for the integration of IPv6 into all facets of networking and telecommunications infrastructure.

Likewise, the agreement between Subisu and the Council makes the former an ordinary organizational member of the APAC IPv6 Council. It opens up new avenues for Nepal’s tech community to engage with regional and global stakeholders.
