The Department of Information and Broadcasting (DoIB) has asked all the concerned radio operators to complete their renewal within the deadline. Issuing a notice, the authority said that the companies can apply for their service renewal online as well.

The department under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has stated that organizations whose licenses and licenses issued pursuant to the National Broadcasting Act, 2049, the National Broadcasting Regulations, 2052, and the Radio Communications (License) Regulations, 2049 were renewed until the fiscal year 2081/82. But they are pending for renewal for the fiscal year 2082/83, and should submit a renewal application along with the necessary documents.

The department says that the radio operators need to apply for their renewal by the end of Poush 2082.

Similarly, the department says that the organizations must also pay the broadcasting and distribution royalty for FY 2081/82. It says that the fee will get 2% of penalty every month if the fee is not paid within the designated period.

How can radio operators apply for license renewal online?

According to the department, radio operators can send an application for renewal at brlms.doib.gov.np by the end of Poush 2082. They must also submit the renewal fee and a 100% penalty on that fee, and other necessary documents.

The notice also states that the failure to submit a renewal application by the end of Poush 2082 means the licenses will see automatic revocation. This will occur in accordance with the National Broadcasting Regulations, 2052 BS, and the Radio Communications (License) Regulations, 2049 BS.
