Design and Display
The Apple iPad Air M4 has a similar design to its predecessor iPad Air M3. They come with a minimalistic design with matte finish and rounded corners. However, the 13-inch variant is only slightly larger than the 11-inch one. This translates to their weight as well. The larger one goes up to 616 grams, while the lighter one’s weight maxes out at 465 grams. They both come with WiFi and 5G options.
Build-wise, the iPad Air M4 2026 comes with an aluminum back and frame and a glass front. The 13-inch iPad Air comes with 2048 x 2732-pixel resolution and up to 600 nits of peak brightness. The 11-inch variant has 1640 x 2360-pixel resolution and offers brightness of up to 500 nits. Both models feature Liquid Retina IPS LCD screens. Performance and Memory
The best highlights of the iPad Air 2026 are the Apple M4 chipset. Apple doesn’t share much, but it’s an octa-core processor with 4 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores. There is a 9-core GPU. Being a new-generation chipset, it delivers smoother performance for productivity, multitasking, and even gaming. Memory-wise, it starts with 128 GB of storage with options of 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB. The bigger highlight is that RAM is now 12 GB instead of 8 GB from the previous generation iPad Air.
Camera, Battery, Security, Connectivity
The iPad Air 2026 features 12 MP cameras on both back and front, with the former being able to record 4K videos at up to 60 fps. The tablet comes with a 9705mAh battery on the 13-inch variant, and the 11-inch variant gets a 7606mAh cell.
Both models are equipped with WiFi 7 connectivity, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, GLONASS (5G models only), and Type-C 3.1 Gen2 port. You also get a top-mounted fingerprint sensor, as in the previous iteration. The tablet comes in space grey, starlight, purple, and blue color options.

Apple iPad Air 2026 with M4 chipset is priced at USD 599 for the 11-inch WiFi 128 GB model, while the WiFi+Cellular model is set at USD 749. Likewise, the price of the 13-inch WiFi 128 GB is USD 799, and WiFi+Cellular 128 GB is USD 949.
