Nepal Telecom to home deliver SIM card by postal service from Shravan 1, 2083

Nepal Telecom (Ntc) will start the home delivery of its SIM cards to users via the postal service (Hulak Sewa) from Shravan 1, 2083. This is the first time that the state-backed company’s customers get service at their doorstep. Besides SIM cards, the company’s other documents, letters, and other services in telecom will be provided via the postal service.

To bring this into effect, an agreement has been reached between Nepal Telecom and the Postal Service (On July 2, 2026). In late March, the government had teased the idea of delivering SIM cards to customers’ homes. The latest development materializes that plan.

Nepal Telecom says that the home delivery of its SIM cards will start from Shrawan 01, 2083, from the Department of Postal Services. Acting Managing Director Reena Dongol, on behalf of Nepal Telecom, and Director General Manmaya Bhattarai Pangeni, on behalf of the Department of Postal Services, have finalized the agreement regarding the service.

On the occasion, Acting Managing Director Dangol said that Nepal Telecom is prioritizing the provision of various services to the customers without having to be present at the company’s office. She called it an important step in that direction. She expressed her belief that the company’s customers will benefit from this collaboration between NTC and the Postal Services Department.

Similarly, Manmaya Bhattarai Pangeni, Director General of the Department of Postal Services, echoed similar excitement. She said that the department is taking various steps to implement the government’s goal of providing services to people’s doorsteps, and this is another step in that direction. She said that the collaboration between the department and the company will further increase in the coming days to provide more effective services to the service recipients of Nepal Telecom.

NT says that the collaboration between these two government-owned organizations makes its services more effective, secure, and improves its quality by utilizing the nationwide network of the postal service.
