Samsung One UI 7 Beta rollout begins showing AI of future

Samsung Nepal has announced an exciting launch of its next-generation mobile system software One UI 7 beta program. The latest custom Android skin comes with powerful Galaxy AI features, simplified controls, smoother user interface (UI), and a preview of scalable AI ecosystems of the future.

The new Samsung OS evolves Samsung’s OS game with AI agents and multimodal capabilities, which are witnessed in every touch. As a user, you will feel your interaction with your Galaxy phone more natural and intuitive.

Besides features and UI improvements, Samsung is offering a first look at the upgraded mobile experience with more flexible personalization with One UI 7.

Enhanced AI for a more intuitive user experience

The One UI 7 ensures more intuitive and enhanced UI experience on eligible Samsung Galaxy phones. The new OS brings with it advanced AI writing assist tools that makes everyday life of users easier. The writing tools are embedded into the OI and allow users to enhance their productivity. Text can be selected without having to switch applications. Also, users can summarize passages, check grammar, and format notes into bullet points.

Another mention worthy characteristic of the One UI 7 is upgraded call feature called call transcripts. It supports 20 different languages and literally bridge the language barriers between different language speakers. You can use the feature when call recording is enabled. The recorded calls are automatically transcribed for reference. The feature is useful because you don’t have to take separate notes to record the topic in calls.

Bold design for more personalization and control

Besides powerful AI features, One UI 7 also boasts a new look which is basically based on a new notification system that Samsung says streamlines communication with easy access from the phone’s lock screen. The new feature we are talking about here is Now Bar. It highlights relevant activities across other features such as interpreter, music, recording, stopwatch, etc.

Now Bar removes the need to repeatedly unlock the phone to check on notifications every time they appear. The feature enables users to only engage with key information effortlessly. The feature will be supported on the upcoming Galaxy S series devices including the Galaxy S25 Ultra. In essence, Now Bar transforms the lock screen experience and Samsung promises that it will continue to innovate more on this experience.

Samsung Nepal says that the new experience One UI 7 brings are “anchored in simple, impactful, and emotive design. The new OS tones down visual clutter and cultivates an experience that resonate with users personally.”

The new OS is characterized by simpler home screen, new widgets, and lock screen which affords users more detail and control over customization.

New Camera UX for higher control of settings

A redesigned camera UX allows more intuitive control over advanced settings. Camera buttons, controls, and modes have been reorganized to make it easier to find the features you need and to give you a clearer preview of the picture you’re taking or the video you’re recording.

There’s also a redesigned camera UX which gives users more intuitive control over advanced settings. Additionally, camera buttons, controls, modes, etc. gets reorganized that give users a clearer preview of the picture they are taking.

As for Pro and Pro video modes, the manual settings have also been made simpler which makes it easier to focus on the picture or video. Samsung has also brought a new zoom control option for recording in a Pro video mode which lets users to control the zoom speed for smoother transitions.

One UI 7 launch date

Official One UI 7 commences with the upcoming Galaxy S series smartphones starting from the first quarter of 2025. As part of the brand’s commitment to extend its OS upgrade policy, the new OS will also get a push into other Galaxy phones.
