Xiaomi is also the No.1 Smartphone brand of Nepal. That brings the first smart router to be launched in Nepal. Mi Router 4C is launched at the price of Rs. 2,399 in Nepal.
The device is the successor to the Mi Router 3C. The router took quite a long time to land in Nepal. It was launched more than a year back in China. Now, let’s know more in detail about the specs, price, and availability of the device below.
Mi Router 4C features a very minimalist design that blends easily with the household. Its dimensions are 195×178.9×107 mm. There are three Ethernet ports and reset button along with the power button in the back of the router.
It comes with 4 high-performance omnidirectional antennas that offer low latency for better online gaming, smooth video streaming, and seamless web surfing. The router supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connectivity that boasts a speed of up to 300Mbps. Router internet speed is of the factor you need to check to improve internet speed at home.
Mi Router 4C runs on a MediaTek MT7628N processor. It reduces power consumption and improves performance. It also comes with a 16MB Nor Flash ROM and 64MB DDR2 RAM on the inside. The brand claims that the router can connect up to 64 devices at a time which is about 8 times more than the conventional routers available out there. Ain’t that interesting?
It also arrives with more other interesting features on it. The router has One Touch Mi App Control, that lets you view & monitor the router remotely. If a new device is connected to the router, you’ll be notified immediately on your phone. You can utilize this feature by downloading Mi App on your mobile phone. The brand also recently launched Redmi Note 9 In Nepal.
The router comes with a Wi-Fi optimization that boosts Wi-Fi speed and reduces bandwidth bottlenecks with just a simple tap. It comes with an inbuilt repeater mode that can be used to extend the network of the already existing router. The router also has parental controls so that you will be able to manage what your children can view and cannot view even when you are not at home.
Sourabh Kothari, The Country General Manager of Xiaomi Nepal stated that “We are committed to launching non-smartphone products in Nepal and in the process bring technological innovations for everyone. With the fast-growing internet population in the country, we saw a gap in the current router market. With amazing smart features and a game-changing price, Mi Router 4C is set to disrupt the router market in Nepal.”

Mi Router 4C costs only Rs. 2,399 in Nepal and it is available for purchase in all the Mi stores, and Sastodeal. It is available only in White colour. Mi Router 4C is definitely the best choice for a budget router and arrives with amazing features. It will surely sweep the tech markets in Nepal. The only concerning thing is that it’s a single-band router. Its disadvantage would be the lack of a USB port. It would also be good if the brand launches a dual-band router in Nepal.
