Namaste Pay

One of the fastest-growing digital wallets in Nepal, Namaste Pay has introduced Split Bills, a new feature to its growing list of services. The new option lets users split a bill among many users and pay with just a tap.

Split Bill is available for both Android and iOS smartphone users.

The unique feature is expected to grow the usability of the app among its growing legion. Split Bill is a usable and unique service that elevates the user experience for the app’s users. Imagine being in a group and you have got a bill to pay, Split Bills allow you to pay your share on your smartphone. The feature allows smartphone users to share and clear the same bill among peers.

Namaste Pay app is the joint venture of Nepal Telecom (NTC) and Rashtriya Banijya Bank (RBB), with a company named NDPC (Nepal Digital Payment Company).

Advantages of Namaste Pay Split Bills

The Split Bills feature is innovative and useful for Namaste Pay users. It makes payment easier for a group. User can immediately notify their friends or family about the amount they owe to pay the bill. Likewise, the person receiving the request can also pay back to the transaction initiator all with just a click.

Regarding the service, the company’s spokesperson said, “This feature is a very useful add-on feature in various bill payments made by wallet customers. There are instances when one person pays the bill, it may be through a merchant payment transaction or a QR scan and then they must keep on following up within the group to collect the outstanding amount.”

The feature allows users to send requests right after the bill is paid and receive money without the need to share details of their wallet each time with others.

Split Bill is useful for QR-based merchant payments or other online merchant payments. Similarly, users can make standalone payments by simply clicking on the split bill icon on the app. The company calls it an “easy, secure, reliable, and time-saving experience for all Namaste Pay users.

The rarity of the availability of the feature makes it even more special. WeChat and AliPay in China both have the Split Bills feature which are just a few to name.
