Ncell Brings Jobshop, A Platform to Create A Bridge between Job Seekers And Employers

Ncell Axiata has recently introduced a service for its customers called Ncell Jobshop to connect Job Seekers and Employers. It is a platform where Ncell customers can find job opportunities. Ncell Job shop is expected to create a bridge between job seekers and employers. Ncell Jobshop will act as a virtual marketplace where employers can post about employment availability and get connected with the job seekers. The service is a part of Ncell’s ongoing campaign #unpause in which, Ncell is determined to trigger thoughts among youths to move ahead amidst the odd situation. 

Most people lost their jobs during the COVID-19 pandemic. They are in search of a job but finding it from home is not a piece of cake. Though the pandemic situation has affected us adversely, we cannot deny the fact that it has opened new doors towards digitalization.

People got more indulged on digital platforms to get their work done. Ncell grasped the opportunity and came up with an innovative service that reduces the hassle of searching for jobs. Job seekers can now find a wide range of employment prospects and get directly connected with the employers in a single platform.

How does Ncell JobShop work?

For the time being, only blue-collar workers who are Ncell users can benefit from this service. They can subscribe to Ncell Jobshop by creating a profile. Then the job posts that match their profile will be notified to them via SMS daily.

Similarly, the job posters also get notified about the match via SMS. In this way, job seekers get exposed to various job opportunities, and employers can find the right candidate for their job from this service.

How to Subscribe to the Ncell JobShop service? 

To use the Ncell JobShop service, you need to either

  • Dial *17137# from your Ncell SIM or
  • Visit http://ncelljobshop.com/ site on your web browser. (can only be accessed from Ncell data)
  • Then you can follow the instructions to create a profile under job seeker if you are a job seeker or under job poster if you are a job poster. 

Service Rate and Validity 

For job posters, the cost per post in the Job Shop is Rs. 6.38, and the job post remains on the platform for up to 7 days.  

The job seekers can get five types of packages from Ncell. They can activate any one of them and keep their profile on the platform for the activated timeslot. All the packages include taxes.
