On December 15, Huawei announced that the grand finale of Huawei ICT Award 2020 is going to take place on December 26 (Poush 11) at Soaltee Crown Plaza. The prestigious award is going to honor winners in 11 different categories. It will be an intimate program with limited participation of contestants and guests.

Similarly, the ICT Awards 2020 is teaming up with various organizations, like Ncell, eSewa, Rastriya Banijya Bank, National Information Technology Center, NAST, Presidential Business School, Eminence Ways, Neema Academy, TDO Nepal, Dish Home, and many more.
Ensuring the required health measures the program will broadcast live not only on television but also on various social platforms. The organizer of this year’s ICT Award 2020, Mr. Razan Lamsal, the president of Living with ICT, has said that they have received above 350 online applications from inside and outside Nepal.
The Huawei ICT Award 2020 consists of a Jury committee and a special advisory committee of 14 members each. The organizer team used the latest technologies to conduct more than 25 virtual meetings for the selection process this year. According to the Jury Coordinator, Mr. Sushil Pokharel, the selection process was transparent and fair that meets the international standard.
For the categories Startup ICT Award, Rising Student ICT Award, Product ICT Award, and Innovation Driven Crisis Response ICT Award 2020, the prize is a concessional loan facility up to Rs. 5 million from the Government of Nepal. Also, Rashtriya Banijya Bank will handover concessional loan facilities up to Rs. 1 million. Similarly, Ncell will offer assistance and a special cash prize to the winner of the Innovation-Driven Crisis Response ICT Award. They also organized online voting for the nominations in those 4 categories of the ICT award 2020.
All the winners of ICT Award 2020 will receive fiber to home service from Nepal Telecom for one year. Similarly, all the winners, including the top 5 startups, will receive Amazon Cloud Services from Genese Solutions. The best of the four categories in business integration and promotion will obtain free e-services worth Rs. 25,000, cybersecurity support packages from Eminence Ways, and many other services and facilities.
