NNET Internet Service
Summary✨
  • NNET launched internet and IPTV services in Nepal, targeting residential and enterprise clients.
  • NNET offers FTTH internet with WiFi 6 and IPv6, complying with NTA mandates.
  • NNET provides discounts (up to 50%) and bonus periods for both retail and SME customers.

NNET (Purple), a licensed Internet/network service provider authorized by the Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA), has officially launched its internet and IPTV services across Nepal. The ISP/NSP focuses on residential and enterprise customers with its advanced internet service.

The company operates under the slogan “NNET, Always Together” and promises to deliver high-quality and future-ready connectivity to customers.

NNET internet service with WiFi 6

NNET fiber-to-the-room (FTTR) internet service comes along with WiFi 6 and IPv6. NTA has mandated IPv6 implementation, and the ISP is also promoting the technology for a more advanced and reliable internet service.

Going ahead, the company plans to expand its services to most parts of the country. It has started its service rollout to cover urban, hilly, rural, and Himalayan regions across Nepal. Customers who want an internet connection for their residential as well as enterprise uses can subscribe to the company’s services.

Educational institutions, health care providers, hotels, government bodies, NGOs/INGOs, banks and financial institutions (BFIs), etc. can subscribe to NNET internet at an affordable rate.

NNET internet package price in Nepal

NNET internet packages start at Rs 911 per month for 100 Mbps speed. The 200 Mbps plan costs Rs 1,100 and the 300 Mbps plan is priced at Rs 1,399 a month. These prices are without 13% VAT.

300 MbpsRs 1,399

At the same time, the ISP is offering up to 15% discount to retail customers with a three-month bonus period. Likewise, business (SMEs) customers can get up to 50% off, a three-month bonus, and double bandwidth speed at the same price.

In the crowd of ISPs, NNET promises to deliver advanced internet service with WiFi 6 and IPv6. The company will compete in the market that’s got dominant players such as WorldLink, Vianet, Classic Tech, etc. The good thing is that it seeks to expand coverage to even rural areas and not just cities. So, it has potential to contribute to the promotion of digital inclusion.

Being a technophile, I am particularly fascinated by the evolution of mobile networks in Nepal from legacy networks (2G, 3G) to 4G (with VoLTE, VoWiFi, eSIM) and the prospects of the upcoming 5G, and equally enthralled by the development of internet from the dial-up connection to the 2 Gbps XGS-PON fiber broadband technology and their transformative impact in the country.
