Ntc Tells Users To Be Careful About The Fake “Get Cash” Offer

State-backed telecom company Ntc has told its customers to be careful about fake get cash amount offer spreading on social media. Releasing a notice, The company assured that the telco has not launched any such offer and asked users to be alert against any rumors coming from unauthorized sources.

According to the company, the information appearing on social media in the name of Nepal Telecom, “Select the right envelope and receive the amount in cash in cash on the occasion of the anniversary,” is false.

“Except for package offers, quizzes, and gifts provided on Nepal Telecom’s official Facebook, Twitter, and other social media, the company has not conducted programs relating to providing prizes and gifts published elsewhere,” the company said in its notice.

Be careful against the fake “get cash” offer- Ntc

Therefore, the company has requested its customers to be careful against this fake get-a-cash offer. Likewise, it has also requested customers to only trust information coming from official sources.

Ntc urged customers to only trust information from its Facebook, Twitter, and other official sources. It also said that users can trust updates that come from its official mobile application.

Online scams are increasing in frequency these days. Links, multimedia, and posts are used to lure unsuspecting users to the internet. Sadly, social media has become a very popular platform for scammers to look for victims. And the use of telecom companies’ names for it is growing. If you fall prey, you may end up giving away your social media accounts, bank accounts, etc. So, staying alert against any such alluring offers is highly significant. Always look for sources if they are official are not.

Check for the company’s logo, see the number of followers, and the opening of such social media pages or groups from which you see any such offers. It gives you a good idea regarding their legitimacy.
