Redmi A4 5G price in Nepal

Redmi A4 5G has been announced. The entry-level phone seeks to be one of the most affordable 5G phones around and has other noteworthy characteristics. It’s a successor to the Redmi A3 phone but Xiaomi has produced a 5G phone to make the next-generation technology accessible at a budget. Here, we talk about the phone’s specifications, features, possible launch date, and price in Nepal.

Redmi A4 5G Specifications

Design and Display

Talking of the design, the Redmi A4 5G shares a similar design path with its predecessor Redmi A3. However, it’s got bigger in dimensions and screen size. It’s 171.9 mm long compared to Redmi A3’s 168.3 mm. Likewise, it weighs over 212 grams while the previous iteration stood below 200 grams. The striking aspect of the phone? Its circular camera island on the back panel houses a camera and an auxiliary lens. The phone uses plastic in frames and a back panel.

Similalry, the display has got larger at 6.88-inch. It’s an IPS LCD screen with 600 nits of brightness at the maximum. But the good thing is a 120Hz refresh rate. Further, the screen has an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1640 pixels.

Performance

Xiaomi has powered this budget 5G phone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4s Gen 2. It’s a 4nm fabrication budget processor for budget phones. Anyway, it features eight cores with a maximum 2.0 GHz speed for two cores and 1.8 GHz for the remaining six. Likewise, Xiamoi offers the phone with 4 GB of RAM 64 GB, and 128 GB of internal storage. It’s not much but there’s a microSDXC slot to expand the storage. And it’s a dedicated slot so it fits both a SIM and an SD card. The phone runs on HyperOS based on Android 14. The device is capable of two OS upgrades.

Since it’s a budget phone, Redmi A4 5G shall have a price of Rs 14,999 for 4/64 GB in Nepal while its 4/128 GB trim may cost Rs 16,999. The original price of Redmi A4 5G in India is INR 10,999 and INR 11,999 for 64 GB and 128 GB variants, respectively. Although the official prices will come with its launch in Nepal, expected in early 2025, the phone should compete with other top phones under 15,999 in Nepal.

Redmi A4 5GPrice in India (Official)Price in Nepal (Expected)
4/64 GBINR 10,999Rs 14,999
4/128 GBINR 11,999Rs 16,999

Our Initial Verdict

Redmi A4 5G is seeking to be a top choice for a budget 5G phone and quite deservingly so. There was a time when 5G was only possible in flagship phones but the technology has tricked down to lower-end handsets and it was inevitable too. In this phone, you get a 120Hz refresh rate, a large battery of over 5,000mAh capacity, and an eye-catching design. So of course, for its possible price of around Rs 15,000, it should be a good pick with 5G connectivity being a key selling point.
