Xiaomi Redmi launched two more flagship smartphones from K40 Series alongside Redmi K40. Redmi K40 Pro & K40 Pro Plus were the other siblings of the Redmi K40 to be launched in China. The devices look like top flagship smartphones with the best specs and features. We will be having a look at these high-level variants in the series. The Redmi K40 series is the successor to the Redmi K30 series. The Redmi K40 Pro & K40 Pro Plus boasts attractive specs and features with a powerful processor and high-quality cameras.
Starting off with the design, all of the smartphones in the K40 series have the same design. The Design Of the smartphones is also similar to Xiaomi Mi 11. The phones have a punch hole in the front, thin bezels, and a gradient back design. It is also IP53 rated for dust and water resistance. Its screen is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Both of the devices sport the same display features as that of the Redmi K40. It has a 6.67 inches Samsung E4 AMOLED display along with a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone offers a 120Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sample. Redmi K40 Pro and K40 Pro+ come with an aspect ratio of 20:9, 85.9% screen-to-body ratio, and 395 PPI density. The screen also supports the DCI-P3 color gamut, HDR10+, and a 1300nits of peak brightness. The display panel of the phones gets an A+ rating from DisplayMate.
Coming to the optical department of the phones, we see few differences between the two gadgets as they’re the distinguishing features among the Redmi K40 series. Both the smartphones arrive with a triple camera setup with a square cutout. Redmi K40 Pro flaunts a 64 MP Sony IMX686 main sensor with f/1.9 aperture, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture with FOV 119°, and a 5 MP telephoto macro sensor with a 50mm focal length. Whereas the Redmi K40 Pro Plus boasts a 108 MP Samsung ISOCELL HM2 primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture with FOV 119°, and a 5 MP telephoto macro sensor.
Both the smartphones get a 20 MP front-facing camera at the front. Redmi K40 Pro records videos up to [email protected], [email protected]/60fps, [email protected]/60/120/240/960fps at the rear. Redmi K40 Pro Plus is also capable of recording videos up to [email protected], [email protected]/60fps, [email protected]/60/120/240/960fpsat rear. Both the phones can record up to [email protected], [email protected] at the front.
Both the flagship phones Redmi K40 Pro and K40 Pro+ are equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. It is a flagship SoC based on 5nm process technology that has Octa-Core processors with 1 Cortex X1 core, 3 Cortex A78 cores, and 4 Cortex A55 cores.
Talking about the memory configurations Redmi K40 Pro is attached with 6GB/8GB of RAM along with a storage option of 128GB/256GB. Whereas Redmi K40 Pro+ rocks a 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage option. At the software front, the Redmi K40 Pro and K40 Pro+ run on MIUI 12 based Android 11 OS same as their sibling.
The smartphone can maintain a high-speed, low latency and stable Wi-Fi connection. It also comes with LiquidCool Technology. So, you will be able to play high spec games very easily and smoothly.
The battery prowess of all the Redmi K40 series is the same. Redmi K40 Pro and K40 Pro+ pack a 4,520mAh battery that also supports the 33W fast charging. It also comes with Quick Charge 3+ and Power Delivery 3.0 support. The smartphone takes only 52 minutes to charge it up from 0 to 100%.
Talking about the connectivity options of the Redmi K40 Pro and K40 Pro+, it features a 5G network, Dual SIM slot, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 5.2, A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO, QZSS, NavIC, NFC, an IR blaster, an X-axis linear motor, USB Type-C 2.0, USB On-The-Go, Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, and Hi-Res Audio Wireless stereo speakers.

Redmi K40 Pro And K40 Pro Plus are launched at the price of 2,799 yuan and 3,699 yuan respectively for the base variant in China. The Redmi K40 Pro will be available for purchase starting from March 4th and K40 Pro + at the end of March in China. Both the phones will be available in three different colour variants Black, White, and Aurora. The smartphones are only available in China for now. So, nothing has been made official about the availability of devices in the global market. The Redmi K40 Pro and K40 Pro+ are expected to be priced around Rs. 55,999 and Rs. 70,999 respectively in Nepalese market if it were to launch. It is also speculated that the phones might be rebranded and launched as Poco Smartphones Globally.
