The smartphone is similar to Samsung Galaxy A02 in terms of design. It comes with a polycarbonate body. Vivo Y1s has a Glass front, plastic back, and a plastic frame. The screen has a waterdrop notch at the top, that houses the front camera. The phone weighs only 161 gm and is 8.28mm thick, so the slim body design makes it very easy to operate with one hand.
Vivo Y1s flaunts a 6.22 inches IPS LCD Halo FullView Display along with a screen resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels. It comes with an aspect ratio of 20:9, 88.6 % screen-to-body ratio, and a 270 PPI density. Sadly the device does not come with a fingerprint scanner which is not a big deal for a budget phone. You get Face Access with Y1s, which unlocks your phone the moment it recognizes your face.
Camera
Talking about the optics of the device, Vivo Y1s has a single rear camera setup. Vivo Y1s includes a 13 MP primary camera with an f/2.2 aperture accompanied by an LED flash.
On the front, the smartphone houses a 5 MP Selfie camera with an f/1.8 aperture that snaps beautiful selfies. Now moving on to the videography of the smartphone, the rear camera is capable of recording videos up to 1080P@30FPS.

Under the hood, Vivo Y1s is powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 chipset. It is an octa-core chipset built on a 12 nm processor with an octa-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU operating up to 2.3GHz and IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU at 680MHz. The smartphone is coupled with 2/3GB of RAM and internal storage of 32GB. You will also be able to expand your storage via a dedicated microSD card slot.
On the software front, the phone runs on FunTouch OS 10.5 based on Android 10.
Battery And Others
Vivo Y1s is backed up by the Li-Po 4,030mAh battery. Sadly there’s no fast charging support on the device. The brand claims the phone takes only 2 hours to fully charge. It comes with standard charging.
Talking about the connectivity options of the phone, Vivo Y1s features dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB port, FM radio, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
