Ncell, the private cellular operator of Nepal brings a new offer called Ek ma dui offer in voice pack for their prepaid numbers. Customers can make a call as low as 25 paisa per minute with the offer. As the name suggests, Ncell doubles the talk time if a customers buys Daily, Weekly or Monthly Voice pack. This offer is valid from November 21, 2016 Monday (Mangsir 6, 2073) for three months period.
Suppose a customer buys a daily 11 minute voice pack with Rs 11, then the customer will get 22 minutes on net talk time that can be used for 24 hours period. Similarly the buying of a weekly 70 minutes voice pack at Rs 60 will provide talk time of 140 minutes. Lastly for a monthly voice pack of 400 minutes at Rs 200 will entail talk time of 800 minutes. So, the tariff in this Rs 200 monthly voice pack, is 25 paisa per minute. The above mentioned price for ek ma dui offer is inclusive of the regular taxes.
Customers can subscribe the new voice pack offer either from USSD, IVR, or SMS means. With IVR, they need to dial 17118 and either press 1, 2 or 3 for daily, weekly or monthly voice packs respectively. By USSD, customers can dial *17118# and select the ones from the choices mentioned. To subscribe the offer by SMS, customer need to send a message with the text 11 for daily voice pack, 60 for weekly voice pack and 200 for monthly voice pack, to 17118. As the message includes the cost of the voice pack, it is easy to subscribe with this means too.
Ncell is quite aggressive in providing new offers like this, time and again. As we can read above, Ncell is also providing cheap call rates to those who pay more for voice. 25 paisa for a minute call is quite cheap. Nepal Telecom was also planning to launch voice packs from some time but its offers are not yet available. Lets see how will Ntc gear up for the challenge in voice packs.
