Now that the first round of the local election on Baishak 31, 2074 is 16 days away, people are gearing up to take part. So is the Election commission of Nepal to hold it free and fair for both rounds on Baishak 31 and Jestha 31. In a bid to update people for the upcoming election, Election commission is doing all it takes with available resources.
Election Commission of Nepal has been providing information to the people through their website: www.election.gov.np. This government website is also free to browse in Nepal Telecom’s GSM mobile. Today Election commission has launched call center and official ECN app for disseminating information to the public.
Call Center
EC Nepal has now launched a call center for the information flow to the people and educates voters. They have provided a toll-free number to make queries for the upcoming local level election. The cost of the calls is free to the toll-free number: 1660-0144222. But only 6 people can connect to the line at once. Election Nepal Call center is available from 8 am to 8 pm until June 17. It operates from its ECN’s office at Kantipath.
The call center is not only for asking queries during the elections and the election procedure. But it is also for the complaint of any violation of code of conduct during the election. EC tells that they will act promptly for the complaints and the queries. So you can either ask for some procedure of election or complain about some misconduct.
Election Commission Nepal (ECN) app
Though there is a multitude of mobile applications for election in Nepal, EC launches its official election app named, ECN App. You can visit the respective play store to download the app. You can use the application to get the information on the local level booths, the candidates, and the voter’s list for your friends and family.
The app will be available for both android and iOS users from the play store of the Android and app store of Apple respectively.
It is known that the app will include the details of the candidates, the voters in each local level. The ECN app will also include a feature to know the result of the election. So this apps is all in one application for the election-related information, voters list, and the result.
