Startup OnePlus has gained its popularity and fame since their first smartphone OnePlus 1. With the success story of OnePlus 2, OnePlus X, OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 5, it has announced 2017 phone with the display of 18:9 aspect ratio. It is named OnePlus 5T as the successor of OnePlus 5. Just after 6 months of releasing OnePlus 5, OnePlus has announced OnePlus 5T. The OnePlus 5T has all the makings to go up against the best of smartphones in the market. Features such as a stretched-out display, facial recognition, and a new camera system, all in a package promise to deliver a similar experience to that of a high-tier smartphone for a little over half the price.
The first thing that people will notice regarding the OnePlus 5T is that new 18:9 aspect ratio display, which takes up most of the phone’s front. The new aspect ratio better guards the OnePlus 5T against its higher-priced competitors, which mostly feature stretched-out displays of their own. It also gives people more display area to work with while not increasing the footprint of the phone by much.
The OnePlus 5T’s stretched display might give the phone a solid aesthetic on the front, but it forced the fingerprint sensor to be moved to the back. This is the first for any OnePlus smartphone, which apart from the OnePlus and OnePlus X, have fingerprint sensors below the display. OnePlus 5T is using the same processor as that of OnePlus 5 so, we don’t expect the performance upgrade in OnePlus 5T.
Open sales of Oneplus 5T starts on Nov 21 worldwide. We can expect it to be available in Nepal very soon. The expected price here is around 55-57 thousand NPR.
