The Chinese smartphone manufacturer OPPO has launched two smartphones Oppo R15 and R15 Dream Mirror edition on March 20. Oppo unveiled those two smartphones at a media event in Beijing, China yesterday.
Oppo R15 and Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Edition feature a large 6.28 inch full-HD+ OLED display with the resolution of 1080×2280 pixels. The dual nano SIM phones come with the aspect ratio of 19:9 which runs on top of Android’s latest operating system, Android Oreo. Oppo has used their own Color OS 5.0 launcher on the phones.
On the camera department, both of the phones sports dual camera setup on the rear. The Oppo R15 features a 16-megapixel Sony IMX519 image sensor on the back with the aperture of f/1.7 and Electronic Image Stabilization is added to it. It also has a 5-megapixel secondary image sensor. The R15 Dream Mirror’s dual camera setup includes a 16-megapixel Sony IMX519 sensor and a secondary 20-megapixel sensor. 20-megapixel sensor is added to handle selfie department.
There is 128GB of onboard storage that is expandable via microSD card which is up to 256GB. They both feature a 6GB RAM which is ideal for multitasking and gaming. Both the phones feature an iPhone X style screen with a notch on top of it.
Most of the features are identical on both the phones. The major difference is their processor and the battery used on them. The Oppo R15 is powered by the newly announced MediaTek Helio P60 processor with Mali G-72 GPU whereas the Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Edition has a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 processor which is clocked up to 2 GHz. The Dream Mirror Edition has Adreno 512 GPU for better and smooth graphics processing which is good of gaming. Oppo R15 comes with a slightly bigger battery with a power rating of 3450mAh and the Dream Mirror Edition packs a 3400mAh battery. Both of the devices supports Oppo’s Flash Charging technology to refill the power in the phone.
The Oppo R15 has been set a price of $475. Red, White, and Purple are the color option for R15. The three colored variant provides more choice to the customers. On the other side, Oppo R15 has a 3G glass in the rear which makes the phone bit costly. It is available in colors like Red and Ceramic Black. The price has been set different in accordance with the color. The Ceramic Black has been set a price tag of $555 and the Red variant is available at $520.
The Oppo R15 duo will be hitting market form 1st of April. Is Oppo trying to fool the customer? maybe not! They are already available for the pre-order and will be available to the customers from April 1st.
