Mi 8 Lite features a glass back panel that has a stunning, mirror-like gradient finish. Mi 8 Lite fulfills the needs of people for great photos with a 24MP Sony IMX576 sensor on the front. The phone sports Qualcomm® SnapdragonTM 660 AIE SoC under the hood, providing amazingly fluid experience on their smartphones.
Sourabh Kothari, Country Manager, Xiaomi Nepal said: “We are excited to introduce the new Mi 8 Lite in Nepal. Powered by Snapdragon 660 SoC and possessing an incredible 24MP Sony IMX576 sensor camera, Mi Lite 8 brings the best of smart technology with amazing specs at a truly honest price to all our Mi Fans in Nepal. Nepal is a promising market for us, and our focus here will remain towards bringing the best of our innovative technology to our consumers and Mi Fans in Nepal.”
The design of Mi 8 Lite was inspired by the works of famous French Impressionist painter Claude Monet, whose paintings are renowned for bringing out the effect of light on natural colors. The glass back employs an advanced NCVM color process, resulting in a mesmerizing mirror-like gradient finish. The 7.5mm slim body of Mi 8 Lite contains a 6.26-inch 19:9 LCD Full-Screen Display, with an FHD+ (2246 x 1080) screen resolution and a Corning® Gorilla GlassTM 5 surface on the front.
24 MP front-facing Sony IMX576 sensor allows capturing images in great detail. Mi 8 lite uses super pixel technology to combine the four-pixel information into one large pixel. Which results in improved clarity for low light conditions, especially in indoor scenarios. The main sensor for the rear AI dual camera is Sony IMX363, same as that of Mi 8. The sensor comes with 1.4μm large pixels for images with less noise. Such a sensor with Dual Pixel Autofocus dramatically improves focusing speeds so you won’t miss your shot.
Xiaomi’s Advanced AI feature pairing with the high-performance camera allows you to change the depth of field after taking a picture. Meanwhile, the Mi 8 Lite display can light up in different colors to suit different scenarios when taking selfies, intelligently illuminating the face with the right color temperature for great-looking selfies.
Mi 8 Lite is powered by the Qualcomm® SnapdragonTM 660 octa-core SoC with Artificial Intelligence Engine (AIE). Using such great SoC, the phone is designed for high performance and great power efficiency. Enjoy a smooth, lag-free experience when watching movies, playing games, or browsing the web thanks to the Qualcomm® KryoTM architecture, Qualcomm® AdrenoTM 512 GPU, and 4GB LPDDR4X DRAM. Mi 8 Lite sports a 3350mAh battery and supports Qualcomm® Quick ChargeTM 3.0. It also offers AI face unlock and a rear fingerprint sensor so securing your device is a seamless experience.
Mi 8 Lite will be available Sunday, 6 January 2019 onwards on Xiaomi’s online store, mi.com; online sales partner, Daraz; as well as offline stores, in Aurora Blue and Midnight Black colour variants for NPR 31,999.
