Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Price In Nepal

Samsung was the most repair-friendly phone brand in 2022, research by Electronics Hub has determined. The South Korean brand had the highest repair rating in 2022.

Electronics Hub studied the time it took for people to repair their phones at home and the complexity of the steps to do so found online. After Samsung followed Apple, Motorola, Google, and Xiaomi on the list. The technology information site combines average repair times and information guide difficulty from iFixit to declare which are the easiest smartphones to repair and most difficult to repair at home.

Based on its research, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra came out as the easiest smartphone to repair at home. Galaxy A40 (2019) came second and Moto G7 third.

Galaxy S22 Ultra has an average repair time of 48.12 minutes per repair and 33.3% of them were easy. Similarly, the Galaxy A40 took an average of 32.6 minutes per repair and 42.9% were easy.

Pixel 7 is the hardest-to-repair at-home device

On the flip side, Google Pixel 7 (2022) was the hardest device to DIY repair. The model had an average repair time of 60.3 minutes. Galaxy Note 10 came at second averaging 58.4 minutes for a fix. Both devices received a 100% “hard to repair” verdict. Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A72 are also not treated as easy-to-repair devices by the study.

Based on the DIY guidelines, the study highlighted that Samsung phones came atop the easiest-to-repair brand. On the opposite, phones made by Sony, Xiaomi, Huawei, OnePlus, and Honor were the most difficult ones to fix at home.

Galaxy S22 Ultra
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra came out as the most repair-friendly phone in 2022 with the brand beating the likes of Apple, Google, Xiaomi, etc.

In fact, Samsung was the number one brand in terms of being repair-friendly in 2013 and 2014. Then it lost the lead to Google, Motorola, Apple, and Xiaomi at times. Finally, the company clinched its top spot back in 2022. Do note that the study didn’t include any Galaxy smartphones from 2023.

Anyway, devices like Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with an adhesive pouch to make battery replacement easier for owners.  So, we might as well assume that Samsung would have kept its top rank anyway.
