Ncell has been honored by the government as the highest taxpayer in the Information Technology (IT) sector in FY 2081/82. Ncell received its latest government recognition on the 8th National ICT Day, 2082.
The honorable Prime Minister, Mr. KP Sharma Oli, presented the telco with a certificate of appreciation. Ms. Punam Singh, Director for Marketing, Communications & Sustainability, received the honor on behalf of the company.
Ncell received the honor from the government for its highest tax contribution in fiscal year FY 2081/82. The latest accolade is one in a series of such for the company. It has established itself as one of the key, if not the highest taxpayers in the country.

Ncell CEO extends gratitude on being honored highest taxpayer in FY 2081/82
As Ncell received its honor as the highest taxpayer in FY 2081/82 on the National ICT Day 2082, the company’s CEO and MD, Jabbor Kayumov, expressed his delight. He expressed delight at receiving the recognition and also pointed to the telco’s contribution to the country’s ICT development.
He said, “On this special occasion of National Information and Communication Technology Day 2082, we are very happy to receive this honor from the government in recognition of our contribution in the field of ICT. As one of the largest taxpayers, Ncell has been contributing significantly to the government in taxes under various tax and fee headings every year.”

He added, “We are proud to have made a significant contribution to the ICT development and economic growth of the country. In line with the essence of our theme ‘We are for you’, we are committed to continuously contributing to the development of ICT and working towards a digital future in line with the vision of Digital Nepal.”
Since its inception, Ncell has remained active and influential in filing significant tax returns. According to the company, it has submitted over Rs 340 billion in taxes and various fees to the government. In FY 2081/82 alone, the company submitted Rs 20.30 billion in taxes and other fees.
