Nepal Telecom (NTC) is proactively taking steps to repair and maintain its telecom services in Rasuwa, Dhading, Nuwakot, and Chitwan that were affected after the Bhotekoshi floods on 2083/05/10 (August 26, 2026). In a press release, the company has said that it is taking all the necessary steps to restore services as quickly as possible.
To restore services, the company has airlifted necessary equipment by helicopter to the Nyaunechaur and Ramche repeater sites. These include generators, batteries, and other equipment.
As per the latest info, more sites have been restored and making basic communication smooth in all parts of Rasuwa, without regular electricity supply.
According to the company, it has restored the network in areas around Nyaunechaur and Ramche. including:
- Kespang (Kaule)
- Thulegaun
- Tadi
- Fikuri
- Kalikasthan
- Grang
- Dadagaun
- Mailung
- Pangsang Danda
- Langtang
- Kyangjin
The company has notified that it has deployed generators, fuel, and personnel to restore services in Dhunche.
In Nuwakot, the company has deployed generators, fuel, and personnel for service restoration in these areas:
- Madanpur
- Battar
- Bidur Bus Park
In Dhading, the company has mobilized resources in Baireni and Thamel Danda. The company says that services in these areas will resume very soon. It is stressing resumption in priority sites, mobilizing necessary equipment quickly.
The company says that it has already undertaken efforts to improve coverage and capacity of BTS sites in the affected districts to ensure effective service delivery.

Nepal Telecom says that out of 152 sites affected by the Bhotekoshi floods, 60 are yet to resume operation. These are 3 out of 5 sites in Chitwan, 13 out of 36 in Dhading, 31 out of 79 in Nuwakot, and 13 out of 32 in Rasuwa.
The company maintains that it’s taking necessary steps to bring the remaining sites into operation as well.
It says that during the disaster, priority is given to service continuity, early warnings and public awareness, and necessary technical operations to facilitate citizens’ communication needs. It has expressed a belief that these efforts help customers maintain communication with their family members and relatives.
