Nepal Telecom (NTC)’s caller ring back tone, shortly CRBT is currently facing an issue. Users have noticed that they are getting CRBTs during calls as they do during a subscription.
In a notice, the company confirmed that its CRBT service is facing some technical issues. It said, “Nepal Telecom’s CRBT service has stopped due to a technical issue.” The company added that until next notice, the service will remain closed.
However, Ntc maintains that it’s already started working on service restoration. “We are working to restore the service and apologize for the inconvenience caused to the customers.

Ntc CRBT service allows users to replace the standard tune with their favorite song, which a caller hears after placing a call. This makes calling fun and entertaining. However, the service has often run into discussions as some sections also declare it as a forced value-added service.

As Ntc confirmed the stoppage of its CRBT service, social network platforms have shown differing perspectives on it. Some users have expressed their desire for Ntc to restore the service soon, while another section has remained neutral.
One thing is for sure that Ntc will soon restore the service and allow paying subscribers to use the service they have paid for. The company hasn’t explicitly said what exactly caused the service to halt, but its team is at it to resume the service soon.
